What to do before you're DEPLOYED!  
   
In these challenging times, we're ready to provide the support you need should you be deployed. Representatives are available to meet with you at the Credit Union or by phone.

Start early - before you leave on deployment.

Secure your financial matters by taking these steps:

• Provide your Spirit of America Federal Credit Union with any new instructions for the disbursement of your direct deposit or allotment.
• Establish automatic transfer for your Spirit of America Federal Credit Union loan payments.
• Sign up for 24-hour secure eBranch Internet Access before deploying. Please contact us for an application to sign up. All surface ships and naval installations provide you with Internet access - this is the easiest way to transfer money between your accounts and balance your checkbook from anywhere. This can be especially important when two people are working from the same accounts.
• Apply for a Visa Check Card for getting cash from ATMs. The cards and PINs will come to you by mail. Once you receive them, the card will have to be activated by calling a special phone number.
• Have a forgotten PIN reissued. Spirit of America Federal Credit Union does not have access to that information. A forgotten PIN must be electronically reissued and mailed to you. Call 1-800-998-2519.
• Check your inventory of share drafts and make sure you have a generous supply. Reorder Now! Also - apply for an Overdraft Protection Loan - just in case.
• Open a second Share Draft/Checking Account for your spouse or joint owner. You can divide your direct deposit between the two checking accounts any way you want. These funds can be reallocated at any time should your needs change during deployment.
• Make sure your Spirit of America Federal Credit Union has you and your joint owner's correct address.
